Beginner Sewing Class

This class covers the fundamentals of sewing for the new sewer. Learn the basics of sewing while making and completing a few simple projects over the four weeks. Materials for projects are included in the class price. 

Course Itinerary:

• Class 1: Learn the basic parts of a sewing machine; along with changing a needle and threading the machine.
• Class 2: You will practice sewing in straight lines while we discuss thread and fabrics. You will be completing a small project in this class.
• Class 3: You will learn how to read a basic patter, cut out the fabric and assemble
• Class 4: This will be a “open sew” where I will be giving instruction and assisting with any questions while you complete a beginner sewing project.

Skill Level:

This class is for the beginner who knows very little about using a sewing machine. Classes are open to all ages; however, a parent is required to stay with anyone under the age of 16.

Sewing Machine:

If you own a sewing machine, please bring it with you. It is best to learn on the machine you will be using. If you do not have a sewing machine, one will be provided for you during the class time.

Monday January 5, 2026  5:30pm to 8:30pm
   Classes will be held on January 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

Wednesday January 7, 2026  1pm to 4pm
   Classes will be held on January 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th

Thursday January 15, 2026 5:30pm to 8:30pm
   Classes will be held on January 15th, 22nd, 29th and February 5th
